Teenseed Community-Based Organization (CBO)
About us
Who We Are
Teenseed is a women-led feminist Community-Based Organization (CBO), registered in 2014 in Nairobi County, Kenya, founded on the lived experiences of Adolescent Girls and Young Women (AGYW) in all their diversities who have survived Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV).
Teenseed was conceived in Port Victoria, Busia County, a small fishing town where gender injustice, early/forced/child marriage, teenage pregnancies, girl-child school dropout, sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA), and harassment are prevalent.
Teenseed works with marginalized Adolescent Girls and Young Women, Persons With Disabilities, rural and indigenous women, operating in Nairobi's informal settlements and rural areas of Homa Bay, Kisumu and Busia Counties.
